March Principal's Message

Looking back, February was another full month!  We had report cards, a literacy evening for our K-2 students and families, Ms Rhonda Donais was here as part of Aboriginal Storyteller Week, the Day of Pink and of course, our Carnaval Celebrations!  And, after a wonderful break, the staff and students are back and ready for more learning fun.    We look forward to hearing the speeches that are being prepared as part of the Concours Oratoire.  This is an important process that helps the students to work on all aspects of French language acquisition.  Also, on March 13, we welcome Trina Markusson who will be here speaking to all of our students throughout the day about mindfulness.  She is a well-known local presenter and author.  You can read about her work at or on Facebook or Instagram.  This month will also see our new little Kindergarten students and their families coming for tours of the school so that we can show them how awesome Massey is!  On March 22 and 23 we will be having Conferences and / or Celebrations of Learning.  You will be receiving information from your child’s classroom teacher about their plan and schedule for that day.  The last day of classes before the break will be Thursday, March 29 and we will see everyone back at school on April 9.  Spring is coming!!!
